FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Why must we purchase luncheon and/or banquet tickets to hear the two speakers?  The hotel has a mandatory food and beverage charge.  Ours for ATAAC Dallas 2025 and ATAAC Dallas 2026 is $15,000 + 25% service charge ($18,750 total per each year).  We use speakers at the luncheon and banquet to encourage attendees to participate so ATAAC can pay for this mandatory food and beverage charge.  Monies collected for these two meals goes straight to this hotel expense.
  • Is parking included with my registration? Yes, if you are staying in the hotel.  If you are commuting, it is a $5.00 per day charge (unlimited in/out) and you must take your parking ticket to the hotel front desk for validation.

  • While the theme "How Does My Garden Grow" looks to stay the same for ATAAC Dallas 2026, will the workshops be the same? The workshops will still be "garden themed", but they will all focus on different Al-Anon topics!
  • Can I donate snacks for the Hospitality Room?   Yes!  There is a list of suggested items. CLICK HERE!
  • My Al-Anon Family Group wants to contribute a basket for the Raffle.   Awesome!  CLICK HERE! There is a sample basket as well as some suggestions on presentation, listing items, wrapping basket, etc. etc.  At ATAAC Dallas 2025, we had 56 baskets!!
  • What items can I donate for the Silent Auction?  We are looking for Al-Anon members that have talent in the arts & crafts area.  Paintings, pottery, custom jewelry, quilts, wood-working, anything that shows our members talents!  At ATAAC Dallas 2025, we had 22 Silent Auction items!!  
  • How are Spanish speakers supported at ATAAC?  We have translators and translation equipment for all the General Sessions!
  • I have dietary restrictions - whom do I contact for my personal requests for the luncheon and banquet?  Contact: [email protected]     Deadline for requests: 2/10/26
  • Are all speaker sessions recorded? Yes!  You can get individual recordings, all weekend speaker recordings, as well as look through the supply of previously recorded speakers at the Recording table outside the General Session room.
  • Where and when is ATAAC 2027?   ATAAC 2027 will be in Houston!!  Dates should be announced very soon.
  • Can an AMIAS just "drop-in" and see what is going on in the Alateen room?   For our Alateens' wellbeing and safety, we are unable to accommodate "drop ins".  If you would like to participate in an Alateen session, that would be GREAT!  There is a sign-up sheet where the AMIASs and Alateens registered in the foyer.  There are also two "open meetings" where any AMIAS (on Friday night) and anyone interested in being an AMIAS can attend, ask questions, and get a feel for what the weekend has been like for our Alateens.  Check your Friday night / Saturday afternoon Alateen-AMIAS schedule available at check in.
  • How can I get my teenager to go to ATAAC 2026?  All Alateens register online or in person at the conference (just like Al-Anon/AA/Guests).  The Alateen must then turn in a completed (1)Behavioral Guidelines form AND be accompanied by a responsible, conference registered adult (Parent/AMIAS/Guardian). (2)Notarized Permission form and (3)Medical form must also be completed and are kept by the accompanying/conference registered adult.  All three forms can be obtained by contacting:   [email protected]  or must be completed if registering at the conference.
